Congratulations to all
of this year’s Wave Award recipients.
It is always gratifying to see the variety of ideas and effort
that member authorities produce. The
Wave Awards are a source of new ideas and encouragement to all authority
managers. They remind us of
what is possible. It was
especially nice to have DEP Commissioner Lisa Jackson join me on the
podium to present the awards. Her remarks during the Wave Awards
Luncheon were warmly received and the discussion on nutrients she
promised has been scheduled. Her
statement about focusing on science is very welcome.
