Western Monmouth UA (posted 7/1/08) The WMUA is soliciting proposals from consultants qualified to conduct a Sludge Digester Improvements and Co-Generation Feasibility Study. This study shall consider four broad areas of focus, 1) improvements to the existing primary and secondary digesters to optimize methane gas production at the least cost, 2) selection of the most optimal co-generation technology to utilize the digester gas based upon best economics, amount of power and heat generation and ease of operation and maintenance, 3) selection of a gas treatment system that will deliver clean digester gas useable by the selected co-generation facility, and 4) identification of potential funding sources to assist in the financing of this project.
