The Bordentown Sewerage Authority seeks candidates for the
position of Executive Director. The Authority provides
sanitary sewer collection and treatment services within
Bordentown City and Bordentown Township (Burlington
County) New Jersey. The Authority serves approximately
6,500 customers and operates 60 miles of sewer mains, 15
pumping stations and an advanced wastewater treatment
plant having a capacity of 3.0 mgd. The successful
candidate will be responsible for the overall management
of the Authority, which has 16 employees and an annual
operating budget, including debt service, of $5.0 million.
Candidate must have substantial experience with the
operation and management of comparable public wastewater
collection and treatment facilities and possess both S-4
and C-4 licenses. Candidate must have experience managing
finances and personnel and preparing and administering
budgets and capital improvement programs; must possess the
management skills and experience necessary to direct both
the administrative and technical operations of the
Authority; must have good communication skills and a
demonstrated ability to interface with the public; and
must have an in-depth knowledge of USEPA and NJDEP sewage
and sludge regulations. Candidates must possess a minimum
of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college. Salary
is negotiable. It is the intent of the Authority to fill
this position effective July 1, 2010, with a start date of
